IN_PROCESS MAGAZINE IS A PUBLICATION THAT CELEBRATES UP-AND-COMING CREATIVES IN THE ART AND DESIGN INDUSTRY.
Curated to inspire the next generation of designers, it goes behind the scenes to explore the creative processes, spaces, and inspirations of people pursuing their passions.
Issue One focuses on artists & designers that identify as female, that are making significant strides in their respective fields. By showcasing the work and stories of young female creatives, the magazine aims to inspire other women to pursue careers in the creative industry.
MAGAZINE SPECIFICATIONS
In_Process is a 39-page, A4 magazine. Printed using the laser printer, the document was then saddle stitched. It has unifying design elements such as dynamic text and bold shapes that complement the range of work featured throughout the edition.
Throughout the document, there are 2 grids that are used. The 8- row grid is better suited for pages with larger amounts of text while a 4-row grid is used for pages that display text or image- based. Both grids are spaced out to encourage negative space at the top of the page, ensuring that there is room for the eye to rest.
VISUAL DESIGN
With the goal of creating a magazine that compliment’s the featured artists works, consistent visual systems and design elements were used throughout. Playful geometric shapes are used to frame different forms of content. Meanwhile, the colour scheme has a range of neutrals and accent colours offering various combinations for each spread while still remaining consistent.
